CBS's THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 delivered its largest audience in nearly a year while THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 scored its largest audience and highest women 25-54 rating since January, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 16. THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 averaged 5.51 million viewers, its largest audience since the week
ending Dec. 26, 2008. Its 1.6/10 among
women 25-54 was the highest since the week ending May 29 while the 1.3/09 among women 18-49 was the best since the week ending July 3 THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 averaged 4.48 million viewers, the largest audience since the week
ending Jan. 16. Among women 25-54, the game show averaged a 1.4/09, the highest rating in the demo since the week ending Jan. 23. Among women 18-49, its 1.1/07 was the highest since the week ending April 24.
For the past two seasons Rich DiPirro has directed and been engaged in an effort to modernize the production and graphics presentations while keeping the spirt of this American TV icon familiar to viewers.
