(Deadline/GTP) TBS has ordered 14 one-hour episodes of the series Separation Anxiety, described as a comedic, relationship-based show with a unique twist., with plans to launch the show in late 2015. The series, announced in May during Turner’s upfront presentation in New York, is being produced by 5×5 Media and Electus.
“What makes Separation Anxiety such a fun show is the way it puts relationships to the test,” said David Eilenberg, SVP of unscripted series, specials and late night for TBS.
Separation Anxiety expands TBS’s creative partnership with 5×5 Media and Electus, producers of its King Of The Nerds, which wrapped its third season in March. Separation Anxiety is executive-produced by 5×5 Media’s Craig Armstrong, Rick Ringbakk and Charles Wachter, and Electus’ Chris Grants.
Electus International, the global distribution arm of Electus, will handle international distribution.
Noah Bonnett joins as Executive Producer and Rich DiPirro directs.
