Chris Harrison, the face of ABC’s venerable reality franchise The Bachelor, has been named the new host of the nationally syndicated game show starting with its 14th season in fall 2015.
“Chris is an accomplished host and valued member of the Disney/ABC family, and now he’ll also be bringing his classic talent and charm to Millionaire,” said Janice Marinelli, President of Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution.
Harrison, who has hosted The Bachelor for its 19 cycles to date, will continue with his hosting duties on ABC’s hit romantic reality series and its offshoots The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise while also appearing on Millionaire, which usually tapes a season’s worth of episodes over a few-week period in the fall.
James Rowley returns as Executive Producer and Rich DiPirro continues as director for Season 14. Rowley and DiPirro previously collaborated on gameshows Beat the Geeks and Cram, as well as the talent competition series America’s Most Talented Kids. DiPirro directed the Harrison hosted “Bachelor 2” for ABC.
